Concerns of the Private Sector in Relation to the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) Negotiations

Prepared a report for the Caribbean Association of Industry and Commerce (CAIC) and the Caribbean Regional Negotiating Machinery (CRNM) on the Concerns of the Private Sector in Relation to the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) Negotiations.

The tasks undertaken under this consultancy included:

  1. Revising all documentation available on EPA and private sector concerns, including CRNM private sector documents,
  2. Discussing with relevant private sector representatives on their concerns regarding the areas of negotiations as well as their indication on how to address the developmental dimension,
  3. Preparing a brief on the above mention concerns,
  4. Providing assistance as required to sectoral groups in the drafting of brief to be presented at the non-state actions (NSA) meeting to be held on 6th September 2007, based on the information collected,
  5. Being available to answer any queries or update information leading up to the meeting, and
  6. Providing other relevant inputs and advice that are related to the meeting.
