Pre-Feasibility Study for the Georgetown-Lethem Road

The firm was subcontracted to conduct the Pre-Feasibility Study for the Georgetown-Lethem Road for the Government of Guyana/IDB.

Tasks undertaken included:

  1. Identifying the environmental and social implications of the Georgetown-Lethem Road remaining as it is vis-a-vis developing it into a fair-weather road using lateritic surface or an all-weather using asphaltic material,
  2. Studying and analyzing the environmental, social, and indigenous impacts and identifying preliminary mitigation measures, and
  3. Developing a terms of reference ToR) for the conduct of an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) of the project and the development of an Indigenous Peoples’ Plan (IPP) during is feasibility stage.
