Environmental/Natural Resource Advisor to the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre

Environmental/Natural Resource Advisor to the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC). 

Our tasks involved:

  1. Supporting the work at regional and national levels on costing climate change impacts on the water, tourism and agriculture sectors,
  2. Developing and training regional personnel on costing adaptation options in these sectors and using these results to inform sectoral adaptation policy and implementation plans,
  3. Advising the organizations on the use of information derived from assessments for decision making in climate change adaptation,
  4. Mentoring and teaching personnel in the Caribbean region on approaches to cost benefit analyses of adaptation options including the costs of delayed action,
  5. Preparing training material on the methods utilized in carrying out costing of impacts and adaptation options to include methods for assessment of environmental services, and
  6. Liaising closely with national climate change focal points training institutions within the region and other regional institutions conducting similar activities.


Duration:  August 15, 2008 – July 15, 2010.
